This conference aims to examine the past, present, and evolving role of radio around the world within a dynamic global media landscape. We will highlight the transformation of radio from a static entity to an adaptive component of the larger media ecosystem, continually reshaping itself in response to socio-political, economic, and technological changes.

Griffith University is hosting a Podcast Studies Roundtable on June 25, 2024, in Brisbane, as a precursor to the IAMCR24 conference. The one-day event invites international podcast scholars and pracademics to engage in discourse, particularly on podcasting’s impact in diverse fields and the Global South’s underrepresentation. Expressions of interest are due by March 15.
Possibly the first major book with “Podcast Studies” in the title!
